Winter Tours

Make an appointment to experience sled dogs up close and personally. Call us to schedule an appointment for for your winter adventure. Spend time in the basket of the sled and on the runners. Bundle up and see the beauty that Alaska offers in the winter. Each tour is approximately two miles through a winter wonder land. Afterwards, come inside to warm up with a hot beverage, look at mushing gear, and learn more about the dogs and racing.

Winter tours are available by appointment only from the end of September to mid-May.

Prices

$50.00 per person winter.

Tours include interactive gear displays, meeting the dogs, and a dog tour on a dog sled. Learn what it takes to get mushers and dogs ready for the race season.

Conveniently located at mile post 7.8 on the Talkeetna Spur Road on the way to Talkeetna, Huskytown Kennel is a great place to learn about Alaska's official sport. The town of Talkeetna was once a booming gold rush town, now more famous as the starting point for climbers attempting to summit Mt. McKinley. The town offers impressive views of the Alaska range, of which Denali, aka McKinley, North America's tallest peak, is the focal point.
